Six Packs Surgery is a procedures design for men to reshapes the abdominal region and involves an advance level of detailing and distinction to the abdomen that gets you six packs.
Six-pack surgery or abdominal etching, works for people who do not exercise. This procedure can be combined with liposuction of other areas such as the flanks and lower back
Six pack abs are not always easy to get through diet and exercise alone. Abdominal etching is a liposuction procedure that removes excess fat between the abdominal muscles, and helps to give more definition to your abdomen resembling six packs. The whole procedure accentuates the abdominal rippling and your stomach appears tighter, firmer and more muscular like you had always hoped.
Many men strive for those ever-desirable six packs and work for years without obtaining the desired results. Tireless stomach crunches and sit-ups don’t get the job due to the layer of fat covering the muscle. No matter how disciplined you are about your regimen, you don’t get the six pack dreams so easily fulfilled. So at that moment, six pack abs liposuction is your secret weapon. Many men have turned to six pack abs surgery for that more defined abdominal region and that good six pack look.
Preparation Prior To Surgery:
• Medical history assessment (any allergies, serious medical condition and all medications taken both prescribed and non-prescribed), physical examination, and laboratory tests will be performed during consultation.
• Avoid smoking for about 3-4 weeks prior to surgery, as nicotine interferes with circulation and will greatly affect healing process.
• Stop drinking alcohol, a week before the surgery and throughout your recovery period.
• Taking any medications should be avoided such as hormones, anticoagulants, anabolic steroids and supplements at least 4-6 weeks to prevent complicating medical factors prior to surgery, and also avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs and herbal supplements as they can increase bleeding.
Preoperative Markings:
Begin by standing the patient up in the preoperative holding area. Ask the patient to tense his or her abdomen while you identify and mark semilunaris lines on either side of the abdomen, and the midline linea alba. Palpate for the location of transverse inscriptions of the rectus abdominis muscle and mark them with horizontal lines. Typically, the lowest line is at the level of the umbilicus, with two other more superior horizontal lines. Mark the iliac crest to create iliac crest indentation lines. Mark any excessive flank lipodystrophy that needs to be addressed to enhance overall trunk contour and a narrowed waist. Serratus anterior lines may also be marked out for patients desiring ultra high definition.
During the procedure:
This procedure is performed under general anesthesia. Prophylactic intravenous antibiotics are given, and standard tumescence (30 ml of 1% lidocaine plus 1000 ml of normal saline plus 1 ml of 1:1000 epinephrine) is infiltrated into the areas to be liposuction after the patient is prepared and draped in a sterile manner. If needed, the liposuction is started in the prone position to address flank lipodystrophy. Then, the patient is placed in the supine position for liposuction of the anterior flanks and abdomen. The surgical technique in bringing the liposuction cannula superficially to the dermis level, to create an “etching,” or indenture accentuating the patient’s native six-pack lines in the abdomen.
For our standard technique, a total of six incisions are commonly used: one at the superior umbilicus, and three in the lower abdominal crease along the linea alba and semilunaris lines. Two far lateral incisions are also used to assist in etching the horizontal lines. These are typically at a lower thoracic/upper lumbar level. The flanks or “love handle” areas are accessed from a supine position by means of the lower lateral abdominal incisions if significant posterior flank liposuction is indicated, and a decision is made not to start the patient in the prone position. The use of a bent cannula to access the inscriptions from our umbilical incision, thereby avoiding the need for the two lateral incisions.
Recovery Period:
Following surgery, there will be some swelling and bruising in the abdomen. A compression garment should be worn for 3-6 weeks. Most patients are able to resume a normal work schedule within 1 week and incorporate exercise within 3 weeks. The full effect of surgery should be noticed within 6 months. This surgery allows men increased definition of their abdominals.
